Under the Haryana rooftop solar framework, residential consumers can avail Central Financial Assistance (CFA) under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana along with additional state-level financial assistance provided by the Government of Haryana. While the central subsidy follows the national slab structure — ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW (maximum ₹78,000) — Haryana offers an income-based state subsidy linked to the Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID) system.
For households with annual income up to ₹1.80 lakh (Category I), the state provides ₹25,000 per kW up to a maximum of ₹50,000. For households with annual income between ₹1.80 lakh and ₹3.00 lakh (Category II), the state provides ₹10,000 per kW up to a maximum of ₹20,000. Households with income above ₹3 lakh are not eligible for state subsidy but can still avail the central subsidy.
For example, if a Category I household installs a 2 kW system, it can receive ₹60,000 as central subsidy plus ₹50,000 as Haryana state subsidy, totaling ₹1,10,000 in financial assistance. If the same household installs a 3 kW system, the central subsidy would be ₹78,000, while the state subsidy would still be capped at ₹50,000 (as per state limit). The subsidy amount is credited to the beneficiary’s bank account after installation, inspection, and approval by the respective DISCOM. The scheme is applicable only for residential, grid-connected rooftop systems and subject to compliance with MNRE and state guidelines.
